content image

Welcome to our new weekly customer newsletter.

We are experiencing unprecedented times and realized we wanted to stay in touch with you regularly without overwhelming your inbox.

COVID-19 information and resources are being shared by various outlets daily, which can be a lot to sift through. We thought it would be helpful to share news that is most beneficial to you, which we’ll divide in three sections: local, business and national.

Since it’s faster for us to update our website than it is to send an email, we’ll always keep you updated at cpb.bank/COVID-19.

ATM FEES WAIVED

CPB and all Hawaii-based members of the Hawaii Bankers Association are waiving ATM fees for cash withdrawals and balance inquiries. Accessing your money at ATMs is safe and now, easier to use. ATM Fees Waived.

Kupuna Hour for seniors and those with compromised health

The first hour of each day, Monday to Friday, is now a protected time for kupuna and those most at risk for COVID-19 to do their banking. We have 22 branches open to serve you; hours vary by location. Please practice social distancing when visiting our branches.

#KeepHawaiiCooking makes takeout a viral sensation

A promotion to get locals to support our partner restaurants was a huge success. CPB Foundation launched #KeepHawaiiCooking as a way to inject more than $100,000 back into the community. In less than a week, the event went viral with thousands of meals shared and energetic social media posts went wild. Mahalo for your enthusiastic support of this program.

Webinars to help your business survive

Many small business owners are coping with how to keep their business afloat and dealing with difficult decisions like staff layoffs. We are hosting free webinars to discuss ways for businesses to survive through this public health crisis.

Since every owner’s business is unique, we encourage you to reach out to your Business Relationship Officer to discuss plans and options to help stabilize your business.

The SBA also offers guidance and loan resources to help business owners through this time.

Small Business Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan

The PPP is part of the $2.2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill, where $349 billion was earmarked for the small business loan program. All loans have the same terms regardless of the lender, but you can apply with CPB now here.

U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz has also shared an online resource to help Hawaii residents and small businesses apply for benefits offered through the Act.
