HONOLULU, HI | November 16, 2020 – Central Pacific Bank (CPB) has appointed Hikaru Utsugi to Senior Vice President, International Banking Manager; and Joji Seta to Senior Vice President, International Banking Advisor; effective December 14, 2020.
Utsugi will be responsible for directing and overseeing International Banking Operations, and strategic planning, with an emphasis on growth areas in Japan and enhancing existing customer relationships. He was most recently with MUFG Bank, Tokyo, Japan, and served as managing director of their Global Financial Crimes Division based out of New York. He has 30 years of experience in corporate banking and financial crime compliance.
Raised in the U.S and Canada, Utsugi holds Bachelor’s degrees in foreign language and political science from Sophia University, Tokyo Japan; and completed the Executive Management of Technology Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, Massachusetts.
Joji Seta, the current International Banking Manager, will step into an advisory role and will serve as Senior Vice President and International Banking Advisor. “Joji’s leadership was instrumental in establishing key business relationships with
