Honolulu, HI – Oct. 20, 2021 –  Made in Hawaii Festival presented by Central Pacific Bank Foundation and Mahi Pono, the state’s most-loved and longest-running showcase of made-in-Hawaii products, will return in 2021 and will be held at Ala Moana Center, a brand new location in the festival’s 27-year history. Ala Moana Center’s covered, open-air, fourth level Mauka Ewa parking structure will be transformed with nearly 300 exhibitors showcasing thousands of locally-made products including food, books, fashion, homemade crafts, jewelry and more. The 2021 Made in Hawaii Festival will be held over the Veteran’s Day Holiday Weekend Nov. 11-14, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday.

For a limited time, discounted early bird rate tickets for the festival are available now for only $13 (parking will be free at Ala Moana Center) and can be purchased at www.MadeinHawaiiFestival.com. Tickets at the door starting Nov. 11 will be $15.

“Our local businesses have shown remarkable perseverance over the last year, so we are thrilled to welcome them back to the Made in Hawaii Festival with new safety protocols to make this year’s shopping experience even more enjoyable than before,” said Lauren Zirbel, executive director of the Hawaii Food Industry Association, the organization that produces the festival. “It is more important than ever to shop local, and we are confident that both first-time and return attendees will be delighted to find the best the islands have to offer, all in one location at the festival.”

Ala Moana Center will provide an expansive, covered, and open-air area for attendees to safely and enjoyably shop the largest and best variety of local hand-crafted and unique products found anywhere. Parking at the Center is free and attendees can look forward to artisan products from festival favorites such as Absolute Aloha, Ahualoa Farms, Aloha Edibles, Aloha Revolution, Anela’s Jade, Bernie’s Basics, Hana Nai‘a, Hawaii Pantry, Hawaii’s Heritage Jewelers, Koa by Keoho, Kulua LLC, Lau Lau Woodworks, Orchid Isle Snacks, Salty Wahine Gourmet Hawaiian Sea Salt,  Som’ Good Seasonings LLC, Upcycle Hawaii LLC, Workshop 28 and many more.

Made in Hawaii Festival will operate under the category of a pop-up retail event, which is allowed under the City & County of Honolulu’s latest COVID-19 mandates, while the festival’s health and safety protocols will ensure a comfortable shopping experience for all. The covered, open-air environment and extra wide aisles in the exhibition area will provide a spacious shopping environment. All attendees 12 and up will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken 48-hours prior to attendance to the festival. Sanitizing mist at the entrance of the festival area will provide an extra layer of safety, and once in the festival all attendees will be required to wear a facemask at all times. Capacity will be managed by timed admissions, with 500 attendees being allowed to enter every half hour. Each admission also has a 2-hour time limit to shop.
