WE by Rising Tide Graduate Gives Back to the Community this Holiday Season

rising tideKanani Oury

We're excited to highlight the incredible efforts of Kanani Oury, a small business owner and co-founder of Stonefish Grill. Kanani's dedication to bringing local, fresh, and affordable food to historic Haleiwa town has made Stonefish Grill a beloved local spot, showcasing not only her innovative spirit but also her commitment to fostering a sense of community.

What makes Kanani's story even more inspiring is her recent graduation from the WE by Rising Tide program. This initiative, sponsored by CPB Foundation and AIO Foundation in collaboration with the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership and Rising Tide Hawaii, is designed to empower women entrepreneurs. Kanani's success stands as a testament to the program's effectiveness in nurturing entrepreneurship and community engagement.

In the true spirit of giving, Kanani has launched "Makana no na Keiki," an online Christmas gift drive and an in-person holiday event for children directly affected by the Maui wildfires. By extending a helping hand to those in need, Kanani embodies the values of compassion and community, truly capturing the essence of the season.

If you're inspired by Kanani's efforts and want to contribute to this meaningful cause, visit https://makanakeiki.com/ to learn how you can help purchase and donate gifts. All donations will be sent and securely stored on Maui, culminating in a special celebration at Maui Nui Botanical Gardens on Saturday, December 16, 2023. The event promises live music, traditional games, and a festive meal, creating a memorable experience for all involved.
