HONOLULU, HI (April 16, 2024) – Central Pacific Bank (CPB) and the CPB Foundation today announced they set a new donation record of nearly $510,000, which includes $440,000 generously donated by CPB employees and nearly $70,000 from the CPB Foundation to Aloha United Way (AUW) in 2023. The sum is a new record for CPB employees and the Foundation and demonstrates the ongoing commitment to supporting the critical work of the organization throughout Hawaii.

“We are incredibly proud of our employees for their unwavering commitment to giving back to the communities we serve,” said Arnold Martines, Central Pacific Bank president and CEO. “Their generosity, combined with the support of the CPB Foundation, will make a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals and families across Hawaii.”

"The amazing team at CPB continues to put community first year after year through its generous commitment to Aloha United Way,” said John Fink, president and CEO, Aloha United Way. “AUW cannot do the work that it does throughout our community without incredible business partners like CPB. The genuine and passionate giving spirit at CPB reflects the quality that exists throughout the entire organization, and for that, AUW and its myriad nonprofit partners are extremely appreciative."

The funds donated by Central Pacific Bank employees and the CPB Foundation will be used to support Aloha United Way's mission of fighting for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Hawaii. The organization works with a network of local agencies to address critical community needs, focusing on areas such as affordable housing, access to healthcare, and educational opportunities.
