Special offer for businesses ready to accept credit or debit card payments

COVID-19 has driven customers to prefer less physical contact at the point-of-sale and contributed to the rise of card payments over cash. Clearly, having the ability to accept credit or debit cards can help your business continuity and increase cash flow.

If your business is ready to accept card payments or if you want to upgrade your current payment processing system, by offering contactless payment or mobile payments, let’s talk. Our credit card processing partner, Elavon is waiving monthly software fees and setup costs on Converge and talech solutions through the end of September. Save up to $199*.

Updates to Paycheck Protection Program Loan Forgiveness

The Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020 that was recently signed into law relaxes some of the key rules and provides relief to Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) borrowers. As we await additional guidance from the Small Business Administration regarding the PPP forgiveness application, we invite you to review new PPP pages that have recently been added to our website:

Our PPP clients should expect to receive separate communication from us regarding the opening of the PPP loan forgiveness portal and webinar information to help with the application process.

Be extra vigilant during the holiday weekend

Together, our communities have worked hard to keep each other safe and Hawaii’s COVID-19 cases low. Kudos! With the long holiday weekend approaching, and the possibility of larger gatherings, it’s especially important to be vigilant during this time. Our actions can help avoid seeing a rise in cases like other states are experiencing. Simply wearing a face mask can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and the more people wearing one, the better. The New York Times shares easy reminders to get the most out of your mask.

Hawaii keiki may need emotional support in preparing for return to school

If no surge of COVID-19 cases occur in Hawaii, our public schools are considering reopening in early August with new safety protocols in place, such as staggered attendance or wearing facemasks on the playground.

While some keiki may be excited to return, the pandemic may leave others feeling anxious or frightened. To help navigate these complex emotions, UNICEF offers tips for parents and caregivers.
