CPB hires Kevin Sakamoto to lead Wealth Management Division

HONOLULU, HI (Feb. 23, 2023) – Central Pacific Bank (CPB) announced the hiring of Kevin Sakamoto as group senior vice president leading the Wealth Management Division. He brings executive and senior leadership over a 30-year career, including oversight of Branch Banking, Private Banking, Personal Banking, Trust and Investment Services, as well as Product Management and Residential Real Estate among other roles.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Wealth Management Division at CPB where we will leverage our strong brand and trust built in the community for 69 years,” said Sakamoto. “Our goal is to continue to deliver the best in class financial services and advice made personal.”

Sakamoto is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University, Pacific Coast Banking School, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

He is active in the community having served on numerous charitable and professional organizations including Aloha United Way, Navian Hawaii, Maryknoll School Foundation, City & County of Honolulu Salary Commission, Junior Achievement of Hawaii, Vistage CEO Peer Group, Consumer Bankers Association, Hawaii Society of Business Professionals, Honolulu Executive Association, Federal Law Enforcement Foundation, and Rotary Club of West Honolulu. He has also been recognized as a Pacific Business News Forty Under 40, Hawaii Business Magazine 20 for the next 20, Pacific Century Fellows, and FBI Citizen’s Academy.
