September CPB Currents: Food Basket, MIHF Recap, WE by CPB Rising Tide, and more!

This month’s CPB Currents celebrates the people, businesses and organizations strengthening our communities across Hawaii. Take a look back at the Made in Hawaii Festival, meet inspiring local entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders, discover what’s new at Tidepools, and explore helpful financial tools and small-business resources.

Here's what's current this month.

Celebrating Local at the Made in Hawaii Festival

As the Official Bank of the Made in Hawaii Festival, Central Pacific Bank was proud to once again support this celebration of Hawaii’s small businesses, entrepreneurs and community.

This year, we welcomed 24 local vendors to CPB Lane and supported the new Kilo Summit collaboration space, where entrepreneurs could connect, exchange ideas and find inspiration.

Mahalo to everyone who stopped by, supported local businesses and helped make it such a memorable weekend.

Watch our recap video for a look back at the festival!

Meet the 2026 WE by CPB Rising Tide Cohort

Central Pacific Bank and the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership are proud to welcome 20 women entrepreneurs to the 2026 WE by CPB Rising Tide program — including seven business owners from Hawaii Island.

Now in its sixth year, the program helps women entrepreneurs strengthen and grow their businesses through financial education, executive mentorship and meaningful connections with fellow business owners and community leaders.

Representing industries ranging from culinary arts and retail to wellness, trade services and professional services, this year’s cohort reflects the talent, innovation and determination found throughout Hawaii’s small-business community.

Meet the 2026 cohort and learn more about their businesses.

Helping Nourish Hawaii Island Communities

The Food Basket, Hawaii Island’s Food Bank, provides programs and resources that help address hunger and strengthen communities across the island.

In our latest customer story, Executive Director Kristin Frost Albrecht shares more about the organization’s work, the people and communities it serves, and how Central Pacific Bank has supported its mission.

We’re proud to support local small businesses and nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference throughout Hawaii.
