Hoʻolauleʻa! Celebrating Life’s Milestones

At Central Pacific Bank, we are proud to help our customers reach their goals and dreams. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing them succeed and celebrating the incredible milestones they have achieved. Today, we are especially proud to introduce our inaugural series of “Hoʻolauleʻa” articles, which will showcase the successes of some of our most inspirational customers, employees and partners each month.

This month, we would like to highlight Ranell and Steven, first time homebuyers who recently bought a brand-new home at the beautiful community of Koa Ridge. Like many families across the state, Ranell and Steven worked hard over the years to save up for their down payment and, with the help from CPB, allowed them to purchase their dream home.

“A lot has motivated us throughout the years,” says Ranell. “As you get older you realize what you really want in life. Wanting to achieve the dream of home ownership was really our biggest goal.”

Ranell and Steven were most excited about buying new construction because they had the opportunity to customize it according to their own preferences. They could choose the finishes, colors and materials they desired. They also liked that they would be among the first people living at this particular development, giving them the chance to start fresh and create a sense of community with their neighbors right away. One thing they thoroughly enjoyed was witnessing the construction progress of their home each week.

“Seeing it built from the ground up was awesome,” says Ranell. “We would drive by every week and we would see our home being built right before our eyes.”

Throughout the process, Ranell and Steven found their mortgage loan officer, Joe Michael Agpaoa, extremely helpful. He provided personalized advice tailored for their specific needs based on their budget and lifestyle requirements. He answered all of their questions thoroughly without making them feel rushed or overwhelmed by all the information available. He also made sure Ranell and Steven felt comfortable with every step along the way by taking time to explain every detail in simple terms so they could understand it easily.

“When it comes to a mortgage loan, there are a lot of questions that you may not know,” says Ranell. “Joe kept an open line of communication and he walked with us throughout the entire process and explained everything.”

The main reason why Ranell and Steven decided to get a mortgage from CPB was because of their excellent relationship with Joe. They appreciated knowing that someone was always available for any questions or concerns during such an important purchase in their lives, even outside business hours when needed – a trait all our mortgage loan officers share. It made them feel more secure knowing that someone was always just a phone call away whenever there were any doubts or uncertainties about anything related to financing their dream home purchase.

“Living in our new home, we are so excited to make more memories,” explains Ranell.

We are inspired by Ranell and Steven’s determination and commitment to achieving this milestone in life - congratulations!

Over the next several months, we will proudly share stories like Ranell and Steven’s as part of our monthly “Hoʻolauleʻa” series. It is humbling to witness how much impact we can have on people’s lives just by providing financial support when they need it most. On behalf of our CPB ohana, mahalo for continuing to trust us with your financial needs - we cannot express enough gratitude for your business.
