HONOLULU, HI (Feb. 28, 2023) – Central Pacific Bank (CPB) will award $25,000 worth of gift cards to Hawaii restaurants statewide to 500 lucky winners of the Keep Hawaii Cooking Super Bowl giveaway. Each of the winners will receive a gift card valued at $50 to one of 60 local restaurants operated by CPB customers. Nearly 6,000 participants entered by scanning the QR code that appeared in the CPB commercial that aired during Super Bowl LVII or by entering on CPB’s website at cpb.bank.

“By all measures, the campaign was a huge success.  We were able to support local restaurant owners by giving them additional business and by providing the public with the means to have a meal on us,” said CPB’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Brandt Farias. “No other bank does more to support small businesses in Hawaii than CPB. We will continue to develop unique and engaging campaigns to help our customers and the community.”

“CPB’s ‘Keep Hawaii Cooking’ is an innovative campaign to help local small businesses like Big City Diner,” said President and Owner Lane Muraoka, Big City Diner Restaurants. “We appreciate how CPB is always looking for new ways to help generate business for us and support their banking customers in multiple ways over the years.  They really care about helping their customers and Hawaii's community.”

“In 2007, CPB helped open Hank’s Haute Dogs. Over the past 16 years I’ve appreciated their continued partnership in our company’s growth. Especially during challenging times, I have admired their support of the restaurant community, offering assistance when they saw a need,” said Owner Hank Adaniya, Hank’s Haute Dogs. “The Keep Hawaii Cooking campaign is another great example of their commitment to small business. Mahalo CPB!”

Winners were selected at random and notified via the contact information they provided on their entry form. They will be sent a gift card to a participating restaurant of their choice by March 20, 2023. Winners are encouraged to take a picture at the restaurant and post it on their social media account with the hashtag #KeepHawaiiCooking and tag CPB.
