HONOLULU, HI (July 1, 2025) – As part of Central Pacific Bank’s (CPB) annual Aloha United Way (AUW) campaign, the bank and the CPB Foundation today announced that the two entities jointly raised $543,169 for one of the state’s largest and best-known community non-profits. The announcement was made by Arnold Martines, Chairman, President and CEO of Central Pacific Bank and Catherine Ngo, Chair of the CPB Foundation.

CPB employees raised $471,663. Of the total amount raised $71,506 came from matching funds from the CPB Foundation. The money will go toward the 2025 AUW campaign to address critical community needs. It came from multiple internal fundraising initiatives, including an online giving campaign, donations from Tocqueville Society members, various company FUNdraisers and the CPB Holiday Party silent auction.

“I could not be prouder of the generosity shown by our employees for such a worthwhile community resource whose mission is more critical today than ever,” said Arnold Martines, Chairman, President and CEO, Central Pacific Bank. “Over the past five years, CPB and the CPB Foundation have given nearly $2.5 million to Aloha United Way, which enables them to carry out their mission to support families, particularly those that need it most.”

AUW is one of the largest local charitable organizations, raising millions of dollars to advance the health, education, and financial stability of people across all our communities. AUW supports over 250 partner agencies across Oahu.

Central Pacific Bank is one of the four largest financial institutions in Hawaii. It was founded in 1954 by Nisei Veterans who returned from World War II, but could not find banking services, so they started the institution that would become CPB. The bank today has $7.41 billion in total assets as well as 27 branches and 55 ATMs in Hawaii.
